Andrew has 6 years of waste management experience paired with 6 years of project management experience and has worn several different hats in that time. Starting his waste industry journey as a Key Account Support Exec, Andrew was a key player in the relationship between companies such as Aldi, Servest and JLL where quick thinking and problem-solving were a must. Quickly he was promoted to Account Executive and was tasked with growing and retaining revenue with Savills.
In this role, Andrew delivered end destination and recycling reports, site audits, propositions for increased recycling, toolbox talks as well as negotiations around annual price increases. Andrew hit his yearly growth target of £1.3m in revenue within the first quarter.
The next natural step was for Andrew to get more hands-on and was hired as an MRF Supervisor. The site Andrew helped manage had a front-end MRF as well as a landfill. This allowed Andrew to gain experience from efficient plant set-up to identifying valuable materials through tracking market trends to landfill cell construction. Furthermore, in this role, there wasn't a job on site that was too big or too small.
Litter picking, dumper driving, weigh-bridge operative, gas well testing, survey engineering, forming and finishing concrete, and construction quality assurance to name but a few.
Andrew was the first-ever employee of Creative Waste Solutions and was a key factor in growing the business to what it is today. With a can-do attitude and application of experience, Andrew was able to double the company's revenue within the first year. Through expert relationship building, Andrew will continue to drive the business forward utilising a strategic and energetic approach.
