Credit Controller | 20hrs minimum per week & full time considered (9am-5pm Monday to Friday)
LOCATION: Mount Mill Farm, Wicken
REPORTS TO: Finance & Operations Director
COVERAGE: Local to Buckinghamshire
What we expect you to do
You will be responsible for:
• Issue invoice reminders and statements of account in a timely manner
• Chase overdue customer payments via email and telephone
• Monitor and manage customer credit limits, providing regular feedback to the Finance & Operations Director
• Assess customer credit limits against scheduled loads and trading activity
• Recommend and implement account stops where required and communicate this to the wider business.
• Maintain the e-bonded credit protection facility, ensuring appropriate limits are in place for all customers
• Work closely with the Finance Executive to track remittances and manage promises to pay
• Work closely with the Finance Executive and wider business to resolve invoice queries.
• Accurately record all credit control and chase activity to ensure full visibility for stakeholders
• Escalate high-risk accounts and long-outstanding debts to the Finance & Operations Director
The skills you will need
Efficient organisation - you will need to work quickly and accurately with a strong eye for detail, so that our customers always get a good, high-quality service.
Highly effective communication skills – you must listen well, ask good questions, build superb relationships, write
clearly and talk with confidence, you need to have the ability to seek out information and pass it on appropriately
throughout the business.
Confident and capable IT skills – you will be using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel. You need to have
a good level of competence, being able to operate with confidence and without supervision.
Numerical ability – you will be able to analyse data, and have the ability to provide financial reporting when
required.
Analytical thinking – to use your problem-solving skills to take ownership of an issue and to work independently or with a team of people to look for alternative solutions and to implement them quickly and effectively.
